ALL CHANGE FOR BILLING

ALL CHANGE FOR BILLING

by Louise Woodhams, 10th October 2016

Many of you by now may have heard that Billing Aquadrome is no longer available for vehicle events due to the need for more space for static caravans – and that includes the Billing Land Rover Show.

While this is a shock to those who have been involved with the show over the past 26 years we would like to reassure readers that this is not the end. Far from it. As we were going to press, Live Promotions Events Ltd confirmed that the Billing Land Rover Show will take place at Kelmarsh Hall instead (bottom right), just 12 miles north of its original venue, from July 21 to 23, 2017.

There will be ample space for club displays, camping and exhibitors, and campers can expect some great evening entertainment while more exciting arena displays and attractions are also promised. If all goes well, the new venue offers a great opportunity for growth.

Tickets go on sale soon, keep an eye on the new site www.kelmarshlandrovershow.com, which will be launched in the near future. For all enquiries call 01775 768661 or email info@livepromotions.co.uk.

And for those of you who enjoyed the 4x4 Lakeside Course that the original Billing Sshow became famous for, you won’t be missing out, as the team at Billing Off-Road Experience are hosting their own event from July 28 to 30.

It promises to be a fun, family show with trade stands, activities, entertainment, a beer tent and music. In addition the Riverside Course will be open for the first time in ten years. And as the site is within their management they’re promising cheaper camping (on the usual Grange Farm site), club discounts and attractive packages to traders.

Owner Richard Arrowcroft told LRM: “This is a really interesting and exciting time for us, and we’d love LRM readers to come forward with suggestions of what they’d like to see. Contact us through our website www.thebillingoffroadexperience.co.uk and don’t forget to check out our official Facebook page.”
