started it after months of just sitting there , fookin ABS light/sensor playing up again
Thats why I sold the D2, just couldnt cope with the thought of electronics having a hissy fit when I least wanted it.

Finally fitted new springs to the front door locks now all I need is a dash (this one is lifting), a front bumper (this one is rusted away behind the end caps) & a set of front & rear gas shocks to stiffen it up a bit for towing then hopefully that will be it for a while till next years MOT that is

Finally fitted new springs to the front door locks now all I need is a dash (this one is lifting), a front bumper (this one is rusted away behind the end caps) & a set of front & rear gas shocks to stiffen it up a bit for towing then hopefully that will be it for a while till next years MOT that is

2 x vcu support bearings for the 2001 Freelander,..... only one question, how come I'm buying the bits when the car belongs to the lady of the house

on my way home from work tonight came across a young chap standing next to his ford ka which was facing the wrong way with the front in the ditch so i stopped and asked if he was ok he was fine just lost it on the bend in the wet so i offered to pull him out do you think you can he says il give it a go says i so i attached a strap and pulled him straight out the car was ok just muddy and a bit of plasic broke he was very greatfull and got on his way

Removed & cleaned the MAP sensor today, well worth the 10 minutes or so it took to do.

those pesky electronics. To be honest I didn't mind, it was easy enough to do (first time I've cleaned it) and the extra oomphh after was well worth it. 
Off down South today and collecting new (old) Defender wheels on route.

Off down South today and collecting new (old) Defender wheels on route.

Sorry Mike, only just seen your post. Hmm, good idea that must remember for next run. Back tomorrow Friday anothe 6 1/2 hrs in the saddle.
Picked up four shiny new springs for Gordon today. Bought LR OE in the end. Also front spring islolators and a new stat as the aftermarket one I bough is duff

went out to fix the clunk at the rear removed hub changed wheel bearing was full of water grease turned to cream noticed rear prop uj had play so changed that too {had a spare} drained and changed rear diff oil {creamy} went up the road and still have the same clunk at the rear landrovers are great they just make a noise so you look around them and fix all the other things that are going wrong modern cars just have a light on the dash that you just ignore
