Series 1 In Boxes With Galvanised Chassis, How Much?

Hi All,

I have a friend who is just letting her other half move in with her, problem is he has given up the rent on his old place so has to move everything out, including the above mentioned series 1.

All I know is it was stripped down and all parts were boxed waiting for new chassis to turn up, when chassis arrived it was put in garage and left.

I don't know much about it but I think he has to get rid of it before the end of the month, so , how much should he ask for it, and if any one is interested, it is in Cornwall.

By the way he has told me what he will take for it but I think he has under priced it, hence the question!

Cheers

Ade

Good Morning,

The famous "car is all there - just in boxes" theme Laughing

Unless the paperwork is all there - and usable - I will always say the same to the sellers to be happy with anything over scrap value.

Reason for that is simply that unless you go through the boxes and know what you're doing you just can't be sure it is all there and often the most expensive / hard to get / etc. bits are missing or US.

Ask the Series One club / specialists for a better opinion.

Hi Arjan,

As far as i am aware all paperwork is there and correct, thanks for the advice though.

Damn I'd love that. I could find space for an S1 in bits too.

Just the small matter of being skint.

Just to add insult to injury, I spoke to the lady concerned today and her other half said he will sell it for £800!

Yes that was £800 for the galvanised chassis and all the bits, she assured me it is all there, unfortunately he had to have a triple heart bypass after dismantling it and took a long time to recover, now he has lost interest, he just wants it to go to a good home where it will be put back together again.

Anyone interested PM me and i will pass on his phone number, it is in Cornwall and will need to be put on a trailer.
