BEAR GRYLLS PUTS NEW DISCOVERY’S TECHNOLOGY TO THE TEST

Adventurer Bear Grylls takes to the skies to put the New Discovery’s Intelligent Seat Fold technology to the ultimate test

Officially we don’t know much about the new Discovery except for the recently released official frontal picture. Now thanks to this pretty cool Bear Grylls video, we know that it will contain an Intelligent Seat Fold system which allows owners to reconfigure their vehicle seating remotely with a smartphone from anywhere in the world, even if in mid-air.

In the video Bear uses his smartphone to reconfigure the seating layout of his New Discovery during a 125mph skydiving descent. According to Land Rover, Intelligent Seat Fold technology allows the two rear rows of seats to be fully reconfigured in as little as 14 seconds via the InControl Remote app downloaded on any iOS orAndroid operating system.

So when Bear and his six mates from the Royal Navy Parachute Display land, they can all just hop into one of the New Discovery’s seven full-size seats and drive away. The New Discovery world premiere is on 28 September 2016, just ahead of the Paris Motor Show.
